  • Yardwork and Snow Removal.

Home Care Agencies and Waiver Services

Providers do not determine eligibility, and all services must be authorized by appropriate ALTCEW/subcontracted case management staff, DSHS Home and Community Services and Developmental Disabilities Administration (DDA) case management staff. Service authorizations and payment for claims are completed through the Health Care Authority’s ProviderOne payment system.

Common Questions:

  • What are the rates for contractors?
DSHS determines Medicaid service rates, which are posted here: Office of Rates Management | DSHS
  • How does service delivery work for Medicaid contractors?
Eligible clients may choose to receive services from any qualified and contracted provider of a particular service. Case managers will make a referral to the provider to start service and create a payment authorization via the state’s ProviderOne System. Providers do not determine eligibility for services but respond to referrals.
